: add ons for horspower

After reading SD horspower numbers and taking note of a few others accomplishments along that line, I would like to see a build sheet for these trucks. I mean from stock to the day they hit the track etc.

Every nut and bolt and add on with brand name. A list of the items that do not add horspower as advertised is always a plus. I don't have money for looks and sound.

Ok, hear goes. Current running gear, TTS Extreme, Powershot 2000 on stock setting, 15lbs bottle for N2O. Pieced together from Nitrous Express (bottle heater, 1/16 single shot nozzle, 15ft -04AN line from bottle to silenoid, .156 silenoid, 18inch -04AN line from silenoid to the nozzle), no lift pumps out yet that I like, so I built my own to use for now (6.5 GM style running all the time with a Carter P4600HP "T"ed in with a seperate switch to activate it when I'm ready to run, and a wix filter and head mounted between it and the tank, I made my own mounting bracket as well). My inlet manifold to read the boost pressure and plug everthing into. Made my own water/meth kit that plugs in to the windshield washer tank (I don't use this any more when running the big power in combo), and switch panel that I made that goes in the center console to control every thing. Almost forgot. ATS compleat tranny up grade with Co-pilot. Edited by: Super Diesel

Are you pulling and pushing thru the filter with the lift pump?

Interesting set up. Have you monitored Fuel Rail PSI and actual Fuel line PSI?

I am pulling through a filter Mac. It is between the tank and the pumps. I don't know what line PSI was (the pumps are supposed to be self regulating at 7 or so PSI). Sp33d ran his Tech II on it when we did a nail biter run, and he said rail pressure was constaint at 23,000.

SD,

For lift pump illiterates like me. . . when the pump is off, does the fuel just flow through it or is there some other path?

I'm sooo confused. . . http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley5.gif

Thanks,
Dennis

p.s. Put the tie-rod sleeves on last Friday, those are sweet.

One pump (the 6.5) is always running when the truck is. If it quits, the engine can still suck through it with out problems. I haven't tried to run the Extreme when the pumps not running and I won't because I turn on the other one (to use them in unison) to pump the fuel needed. I'm glad you like the sleeves. You won't be disapointed.

Okay, I get it now. . . I missed that little part about the 6.5 running all the time in your first post. . .

Thanks,
