I have tried my truck with the egr plugged and unplugged and plugged in again. When plugged in and with my Edge on lev. 3 and low fuel on 5 I could belch out a nice cloud. With the egr off i couldnt get any smoke, but my throttle response was a little better. Now that I have plugged it back in I cant get it to smoke again which makes me think that something isnt right with the egr now. I checked the connections and pins, without any problems. How do you diagnose if your egr is functioning properly? What 2 do?

The only thing I have changed since plugging my egr back in is adding a cold air intake. Would that be the reason why it wont smoke? Because it gets more air and changes the air/fuel ratio reducing the amount of unburned fuel? I have no clue and that is probably obvious by my statements. Help if you can!http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley11.gifEdited by: blowinsmoke

For the Juice to add full power the truck has to be over 180 degrees on the attitude display. Make sure this is the case and do your test again.

You didn't hurt anything, everything is normal. Don't worry. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif

I am fully aware of the 180 degree warmup. I kind of miss that nice cloud of darkness. Its just not the same effect when you jump the ricer. Truck runs very well, no difference in performance, just the issue of no more smoke. Did the intake clean up my air??
