There is a weep hole in the seal. Should that be mounted up or down?


Also, are there any upgrades I should consider while I am replacing the seal or just replace the seal with OEM?


Any sites or vendors with info on the NVG246? Information seems limited on this case.

The hole goes down to allow moisture to drain out. OEM seal is fine, I don't know of any better seals. Here is a little bit of info from their website. If you want to know anything specific I can try to find it.
