I'M HAVING TO STAY ON THE STARTER A LITTLE BIT TOO LONG THESE DAYS. ACTS AS THOUGH ITS NOT GETTING FUEL. ALL PM'S ARE REGULAR. ANY IDEAS???

I would look at glow plugs, HPOP, and fuel bowl. Plug in the block heater over night...see if that helps ( that would point me towards glow plugs). Next I would take a look at the oil level in the HPOP reservoir to see if it is staying full while sitting and while I am right there make sure the is plenty of fuel in the bowl. If the HPOP is not holding oil while it sits...it would take a little bit of cranking to pump oil up there and then the oil rails pressurize. The PCM won't enable the IDM until there is adequite oil and fuel rail pressure.

I guess I am assuming your problem is only on "non-hot" starts...good luck
