I keep getting VIN not supported and it asks if I had any recent reflashes or anything. Is this a problem EFI needs to solve or am I doing something wrong?

What vehicle are you trying to tune?
And are you selecting the correct controller type?

My 06 Express van with the D Max in it.
I can't get anywhere with it now that this comes up on my screen.

I'm assuming your using FlashScan V2?

The two most common problems are that the latest software is installed, but the firmware update hasn't been done or the right controller type isn't being selected. The controller type is based on ECM and NOT engine type, so you need to be selecting the LBZ controller.

The latest software and firmware should read.
Firmware build 2.4.55.
Software build numbers should be 515, 644, and 622.

You can download our latest software here http://www.forum.efilive.com/showthread.php?t=5072

To check your firmware, Go to your windows "Start Menu" "All Program" and find the EFILive folder, select the Firmware update utility. Look for the Update Flashscan V2 section and select the little square box on the extreme right side. Browse to the C:\Program Files\EFILive\V7 folder and look for a file that ends in _55.ffw or anything higher than 55. Select it, and then use the Program button.

If you still don't have any luck, PM me with your VIN # and email address or Instant messanger address and we'll get Andrew to walk you through the process. I'm almost 100% sure that we support all operating systems for 06 Express Vans, but in the case that this is one we haven't seen before we'll get you up and running ASAP.

Cheers
Cindy
