Well, after several long days, the LBZ is back together and being driven. No issues so far except for a very small oil leak that I have not located yet. Just trying to put some miles on it to break it in on a stock tune. Hopefully all the fine details will be done in the next few day and then we can tune it up for the pulling/drag racing season.

Sweet. So how many pound of oil pressure is it running/idleing at??
What I mean is you mentioned in another thread somewhere that you were going to try something to raise the oil pressure.....So did it work?

We are idling at 42 PSI at 208F coolant temp with 15W40. Hopefully our R & D is done for a while and we can get to racing. We still have couple of nights of hard work to deal with a few small issues but I'm hoping the worst is behind us.

We went back to the ATS trans since it seems to hold the high HP a little better. Barring any unforseen issues, we shoud be ready to go in a few day. We look forward to seeing everyone at the track.

You are still using the LBZ block arent you?
If so what did you have to change to get that much oil pressure?

What kind of transmission were you running before??
Good luck on the new motor!!:)

Beat me to it. :)

So Ric your 'fix' for the oil pressure seems to be doing well? Are you using an LBZ block and pistons?

I dont suppose you would be willing to share the oil pressure fix........:D

The oil pressure issues wasn't that hard but we need to make sure it will not inflict any issues with the turbo. We are keeping a close eye on things to see if everything will be ok.

Transmission,

We were running a Suncoast stage 4 but it kept hurting clutches about every 4-5 pulls but the ATS extreme (knock on wood) has never had any issues and seems to shift a little better. Suncoast builds a great product but in my application, they just don't seem to hold the high HP. I tried tightening the clutch clearances and doing a few other tricks but the truck was actually driving through the Suncoast clutch material.

Tony,

My redneck dry sump system is a secret. The Honda motor was a little to much so we reduced it to a weed eater motor!!!!;)
