I posted this in the electrical forum and only got one response. I have had much better luck in this forum so I thought maybe not too many people check out the other forum and maybe I would get a better repsonse here.

I am wondering if this is a relay problem or something else. I have a 2000, 3500 6.5L Standard Cab. The power door locks will not work from either interior button, but work fine most of the time from the key fob. When I say most of the time I mean if I am not in and out more than once or twice in a short period. Otherwise the doors seem to lock/unlock sluggish if at all. Anyone care to guess what the trouble is?

Windows. The drivers side window will not go down if it is all the way up and it is a warm day. If I leave the window open just a bit it seems to work fine. Again, anyone care to guess what the trouble is. The passenger window works fine.

Thanks for any help.
Eric.

You'll need to pull the door panels to check - it's either lubrication of the mechanicals or connection of the electricals.

Better response when used more seems lubricant-related - dried or dirty linkage in the door lock mech, and same in window slides.

Easiest is replace the relay(s) as a test

It should be easy enough to remove the lock switches for testing, or use a jumper wire to test the circuit out.

Window migth be a weak motor BUT I'd check the track and lube it up some also first.
