I am the original "doubting Thomas" when it comes to dealing with a new "shop."
That is especially true when you are 600 miles from home. However, if it were not for places like this site there would be no way for me to know if I were being conned.
I have nothing but good things to say about Mike L and "Inglewood Transmission". Especially since my transmission went out in Vegas, and after talking to Mike, and reading posts on this site, I drove all the way to LA to have a perfect stranger work on my trucks Allison transmission. Not to mention he put aside other work to get me in and out FAST.
I could not be happier with his work. He is a professional to the max, and has been doing transmissions for 40 years.
My truck hauls my 5th wheel trailer so much better than with the original crap. Turns out the original torque converter probably rarely if ever totally locked up. It got so hot that the case turned blue from the heat.
Suncoast Stage 3 was the way to go for me. When the TQ locks it is solid, and the trans shifts as it did originally.
Thanks Mike L, you've got my thanks, and a recommendation to any who ask.
