I found a 1995 chevy 1500 4x4. It has leather and is auto. The interior is in like perfect shape. Only thing is the truck has 257k miles. It has the 6.5L td and motor looks clean and truck is bone stock. Dealer is asking $5999. Is this much for this truck or is this an average price of a really good price? Thanx alot. I really dont know much about these trucks with the 6.5ltd engines, so I dont know how long they last or anything. Thanx for all ur help

That price is a bit high for the milage. At 260,000 any and all parts could break from old age. What's the replacement history? It should have at least a new IP. The motor should be checked for oil consumption, compression and blowby. Also, look and see how dirty oily and corroded does it look under the hood. The cleaner the better. How do the A/c compressor, Alternator, and other puleys look while the engine's running. Any excessive vibrations can cause engine failure, especially the crankpulley.
