My truck started hard starting in August. I had it checked at the dealer that I bought if from. They took the time to test the injectors and said that there was a high flow return rate on the right side. Then they called back after having torn the truck apart and tested to say they would NOT cover the injectors under waranty due to the boost gauge being spliced into the wastegate can. I called Customer Care right away and told them that I did not want this dealer touching the truck. They have lost a customer for life. They were the ones that told me the mods of air filter, fuel filter, exhaust and gauges would be ok for warranty.

Truck is now at the new dealer. It left me stranded in a farm field for 4 hours on a 890 degree day. The colder it is, the warmer it is, the harder it is to start. They ordered the injectors (full set) without a hint of questions. Here is the suprise. I drove the truck there, and they had a brand new 1/2 ton rental there for me to use for the entire time that my truck is down. This is a new policy. The most that I could get GM to pop for was 3 days. My truck is down for the count now. I have been waiting on injectors for 5 weeks now.

Jess, what dealer did you finally end up taking your truck to, and which dealer gave you problems??

Chad checked my injector balance rates with a Tech II at the PFI dyno day on Saturday and #7 is at 5.3, so just a question of time before it gets worse and meets the new replacement standard of 8. At least now I know where the knock is probably coming from...seems all the cat filter is doing for me is looking cool under the bed of the truck. I guess all the clean fuel in the world can't fix a $hitty design. Alright I'm done venting for now... http://dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Angry.gif
