I was curious if anyone knows of a good way to clean the plastic covering the guages and the plastic radio face without scratching them. I know from past experience that even touching them with a finger scratches them permanently.

I use eyeglass cleaner and a cotton diaper/towel on mine. Haven't noticed any scratches.

I spend a lot of time in the west Texas dust (it gets everywhere). I blow mine off with compressed air and then hit it with some glass cleaner and follow with Mequiar's #10 plastic polish. No scratches.
Ever see cars with the polycarbonate headlamps all hazy? This stuff will make them clear again. We used to use it on F-16 canopies. It's good stuff.

I usually soak my cluster in glass cleaner and let the dirt run down to the bottom and then "pat" (not rub) it off with a soft towel at the bottom. Then I re-spray the whole cluster again and pat down the whole cluster. Do this until the dirt is gone then respray it with cleaner and using a clean part of the cloth then wipe it off.
Done this on 4 trucks and never had any scratches.

Try using a rag dampened with Murphy's oil soap solution to dust/clean all the plastic interior parts including the clear plastic instrument guage cover. Buff/dry with a clean towel. Smells good too!
