Congrats. Now you'll spend half again as much on toys for your truck! My wife swears I love the truck more than her. Well, of course not (but I do love my truck!).

Congrats and welcome to the site!

Start saving for new toys and read as many posts as you can. There is a wealth of information at your fingers.

In case you ask, here's some quick advice.

Leave the air filter alone.

Put on another fuel filter, (your choice as to brand location etc.)

Plan on new shocks because the stocks ones are not the best.

Gauges for boost and EGT should be on your Christmas list.

If you plan on power upgrades, be careful. Remember, more power shorter life. If you are going to go for more power, than don't go greater than 90 HP without serious consideration to beefing up the Allison.

If you put on bigger tires, pay attention to rotating mass, clearance issues etc. Same goes with lifts.

Everything else is based on your likes. Enjoy your new Truck! http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif

CJATE,

Congrat's on the new ride - I assume that it is new and not used. How in the world do you find an 04 D/A still on the lot?? I couldn't find one in Southeast MI since June.

I am sure it was harder to find an 04 with the LB7, if it was new.Edited by: BassinRVer

yep, used, that is what I try to buy, a good used truck from an old man, this one was setting on a lot, but the old man had it in the paper for weeks, wanted to much or I would have bought from him. This way I get it certified, with better then new car interest, and it’s already dropped it’s 10% just by driving it off the lot the first time. And found what I would have ordered, image that.

Dave, thanks for the filter tip, I'll search about that.

and sadly I am familiar with toys, the jeep vice is worse then any vice one can image. I am sure this is up there,
