The truck I bought is in immaculate condition, the owner is a friend of mine.

I have only had the truck for a few days and have notced that when I accelerate off the line a little agressively, but not to the mat, i notice a little shake or shudder between 10 and 20km/h or between 6 and 12 MPH, is this normal.

My next question is of performance and top speed. I read that the 2001 are unable to have the top speed limiter removed which dissapoints mehttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Cry.gif but oh well i can live with that. I have noticed that the top end speed on my truck is 97mph(gps verified) or 160kms and the rpm is about 3000 and pretty close to the redline. MY QUestion is for those of you who have a newer truck and have the speed limiter removed how fast is your top end speed and what is your rpm.

There is programers out there that will work on a 01. I think that Max Power has a way for you to do it with out a programer.

If I were to remove the speed limiter, Iam afraid that I might hit the redline on the tach< because as I said earlier at 97mph I am at about3000 rpm. with only a few hundred rpm more to go.

I have that same shudder or shake from a dead stop to accelerating as well. I just changed the trans fluid and rear diff. fluid. did not help I don't think. I think it may be axle wrap! Maybe someone will shed some light on the subject.

Sounds like your drive train vibration should be easily diagnosed as you can repeat for a GM technician.

You have a CC so you have the split drive shaft so there is probably a alignment issue.

TTS has a drop in ECM or Reload to eliminate the speed limit as I have done on my truck, real fast ta'boot.
