My speedo has when to hell. It is either working or not or stuck somewhere in between. This morning on the way into work I did about 120 mph through rush hour traffic. :eek: I wish, I could shave a few minutes off my trip.

Anyway, anyone have any suggestions. Could if possibly be my Hypertech? I just went off warranty about a month ago. :mad:

Known GM issue; you need a new instrument cluster. $500. If you are within a few hundred miles of warranty, push the dealer to replace under warranty since it is a chronic and known problem.

Or if you are out of warranty, buy a stepper motor for $15 and fix it yourself.

Thanks for the info, I didn't know this was a common problem. My service manager has been great to work with for the last 10 years or so. I am gonna give him a call and see if he can work me a deal.

If it is gonna be 500 bones, then I will do it myself.
