I have been running level 3 on my '05 to get the trans eased in. I installed it at 5,000 miles. This truck doesn't pull like my '03 did at all. My '03 had the Hot Juice and I ran it on level 4 all the time with stock trans. I could roll on the throttle and it forced you back into the seat until you let off or reached 115 mph. The '05 doesn't pull like that at all. Any one else notice this?

I personally have a 04.5 lly......with the sc lvl3 this thing pulls awesome. The installer of the sc lvl 3 owns an lb7 and says both pull equal......don't know though.

Smoky, isn't level 4 HJ more than level 5 RJ?

5000 miles the motor is still tight.

How did u get to 115 mph w/ the 96 mph limiter?

Dmax-

I have 35" tires and can reach 114.X on GPS before I run out of gear.

The Hot Juice had 145/325...I think. I tried rolling on it again this morning and the tires rolled over at 35 mph like the old truck did. I think the lly takes longer to make boost at higher rpm. The boost gauge in the old truck would shoot to 28-32 psi immediately. The lly seems to take a little longer. I have barked my turbo twice trying to roll into it at 65mph with it in level 3.

I get a major rush of power at the 1/2 gear change. More than enough to slide off the road rear wheels first.

Unplug your egr, makes it build boost faster, atleast that's what I've heard http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/HiHi.gif

I have the EGR plate that "fingers" sells and an AFE intake. My MBRP turbo back will be on by this weekend. It still takes a long time to spool up.

Maybe there is a way t program the turbo to give max boost (or at least more) at a certain throttle position?

I thought the Juice for the LLY 04.5 would not work on the 05.. or is the new 05 juice out??

I haven't talked to Edge about the '04 LLY working for the '05's, but one might assume that there would be some problems.

GM jacked up the power a bit for the '05's so if that was done with a software change in the ECM, then the Edge would need some attention as well.

I've not really looked at it yet since I've not sold the '04 to order the '05. Have you contacted Edge? Give that a shot and let us know what they say.

Here is a copy of a few emails I received from Edge reference the Juice working on '05 Duramaxs.

"The current module we offer for the 2004.5 will also work on the 2005 model as well. 30-120hp and 100-250 lbs torque"

and

"...Our module is not affected by the changes made on the 2005 model, we have done testing on the 05 model..."
