: Cognito 4" will it affect my Boss Plow ?

Once I can get a hold of Nick @ Norcal, I'm going to get the Cognito 4-6" kit. I am hoping this does not affect my Boss plow mounting. Does anyone know if the lift will alter the way my plow mounts to the frame?

That is the exact question I was wondering. I put the frame on my 02 and the brackets are plenty long enough to drop down 4" but the support bars that go back to the rear of the truck will have to be modified because they bolt to the same place the lift bolts too. I don't think it would be very hard though. I decided to go with the cognito levelling kit from Norcal for now and I can add the 4" later. I know it will be dependable with the 4" but I don't think I would go 6 IMO. I would like you to try it first then let me know.

Got any pics of the plow mount...I am familiar with Fischer and now that they are unaffected with a lift...but it sounds like the Boss mount is more involved.

Sorry if it has been hard to get me....but it is going to pay off for the stuff I have been working on.

Yea if you can post some pic's maybe I can help. I don't see much plowing over here in Cali. unless I'm at a bar...;)

Nick knows as much about plowing as we know about surfing!!! If the guys are using them for sled pulling and drag racing the 4'" lift has to be strong enough for plowing.

Nick,
Here are some pics for the plow mount.
Let me know if you think this will be a problem on the install.

Here are some pics of my 02 and yes the frame is rusty. I have the leveling kit with the Blisteins, so Nik do all I need is the 4" kit and the rear shocks and blocks.

It looks like the only thing is where the plow strut bars mount to the cross member might get tight with the drop cross member there. Have you or do you know anyone with this plow mount and any lift installed? If I could see pic's on how that played with that area I might be able to make a call.

Nick,
Can you get me a measurement from ground to the bottom of the front frame rail?
