Just bought my '07 classic on Tuesday. Left work early yesterday to claybar and Zaino the paint. Man was I surprised. There was a ton of orange peel on the tail gate and other body panels. Then, I slide under the truck to find that the bottom side is not even painted! that really surprised me. Looks like it was primered bet never painted. Also, the paint is very thin in the jams and tailgate area. So much so that the primer is shining through. My color is deep blue metallic.

You guys have the same issues? Mine was built in Dec. of 2006.

Oh, one other thing, you can tell that GM was using up old parts in prep of the new body styles, my '07 has an air-cleaner asembly that shows model year 2006

All trucks come from the factory with orange peel, chevy, ford, dodge. None of them are color sanded and buffed. they are not show cars. Most people don't care, but I guess that's where we come in.:rolleyes:

Nice pic of your quad. I just bought an '07 Suzuki KingQuad 700. Love it. The quad is one of the reasons I bought the truck. I want to throw it in the bed and go deep into the woods and high desert in Nevada.

My 06 was the same way. Several clear coat runs. Part unpainted (lower valance of bumper - not fenderwells etc.) There were a few bubbles in the clear as well. Also have a yellow spot on the tailgate. Dealer said they will take care of it, but I am not wild about turning a dealer loose to paint so much stuff. Of course I am not wild about a $45k truck that looks like it was painted by some guys from maaco. Of all of the GM vehicles I have ever owned..this was the most expensive and the poorest qaulity of paint of them all.
