Not much need for it in a pickup. It is used in heavier vehicles.... That's interesting, because the discussion that went on about this a year or so ago on various forums seemed to come to a consensus that the Allison 1000 is capable of a 6th gear with a .61:1 ratio versus the current .71:1 ratio of our 5th gear. Was the consensus wrong, or are there 2 additional gears that could be accessed with the proper parts and re-programming? Ray403Dmax 10-27-2003, 03:23 PM Yep, what bluenote said.
