: T-304 Chrome!!??

I recently bought (online) a new MBRP T-304 cat-back exhaust for my Dmax. Based on the advertisements on the numerous websites I browsed while shopping for the exhaust, I assumed it was polished chrome from the tip back. I did the magnet test, and sure enough, the magnet did not stick, confirming it was T-304. Was I wrong about the exhaust being fully polished, or did I get a faulty (non-polished) product?

BTW...I am in no way trying to slam MBRP, I'm completely satisfied with the performance of the exhaust. Check out the pics to form your opinion...

The pictures can be a bit decieving. The only thing truely mirror polished is the tip. The system can be polished to look similar, but has lube and some marks on it from the bending process. We make sure to not advertise them as fully polished kits as some like to do.

Whats the best way to make it look similiar to whats advertised by most companies...besides taking it and getting it chromed or ceramic coated? Is there some type of polish one can use to get the desired result? I was at one point interested in a 304 system b/c of whats advertised...until i saw it in person. I was fooled too. :D

Well it looks like I was duped!:( I should have went with the RBP system to get a truly polished look. I've seen the RBP systems in a showroom and they truly are polished from end-to-end, much like MBRP advertises. O'well, I'm still happy with MBRP.

The RBP systems dont look like that, we have seen several. Most manufacturers dress them up a bit for pictures. Look at MBRP, Silverline, Banks, Magnaflow, RBP, etc. They all look much better in the pic than what they will when they get to your door. The grass isnt always greener on the other side fellas, I can assure you that!

dantheman- Yes you can get them to look like that with some polish and a little elbow grease and/or polishing wheel. We have done some this way for show trucks.
