I know that they don't seem to be widely used by duramax owners, and I know that I read of a owner on here who had installed one and had issues. You may try a search.

I would recommend either Suncoast or ATS. I have an ATS trans and Co-Pilot because the guy I deal w/ on my perf stuff has dealt with them a little more. I like it a lot BTW but you should be happy with either.

PPE uses Alto clutches and gives you a choice of converters but if I where you I would talk to Mike L thats my plan as soon as I save up the cash. "Your transmission is like a condom, better to have the best one and not need, then to go cheap and end up f******* yourself"

Anybody had dealings with there trans buildI'm going to do a PPE stage 4 built by PPE within the next few weeks. PM Dan their prices are very good and from what I've heard they do a good job on their builds. Mike L and Eric also build very good trannys but there too far from me.

I have had my BD tranny installed for about 2 months now (5000miles) and so far it shifts great and does everything exactly the way that BD said it would I also have the new BD 3 Disk torque converter and it works great too.

My truck did 525 HP on BD's dyno days a week ago exactly as they said it would with the Supermax Turbo and Intimidator Tuner.

Thanks. Your the first that I know that has one. Do you know of any other trucks that have them an how they like them

SC 3 has no warranty except for parts. The warranty is the responsability of the builder.

ELHUNTER06, ask COBRA about PPE. I think he just installed one in his. I could be wrong but I think that is what he used.

I have had to redo 4 of them.

I sold a SC-V to a customer who tore up the BD trans in one truck pull. It went in to Suncoast as a core including the deep pan.

Probably coming in late on this one. I had a BD Tranny along with the BD Turbo. The turbo has been great but I had to replace the BD Tranny with a Mike L SC IV approx a year after I had the BD Tranny.
Mike L can tell you about what the BD Tranny looked like when he took it apart. The clutches were shot and warped.
I have had my SC IV for approx one year and have driven my 32.5 fiver across the US and Canada without any tranny problems at all. I have previously posted my issues with the BD tranny.
My advice is to get it done right the first time!!! IMHO the BD tranny is asub par unit. Ask BD what type of rear wheel HP they feel a BD will hold. I was advised 450 HP after it was installed and I started having problems with it.
