Does anyone else have the significant lag from 60 to wot. Maybe it is just my imagination.

Could you elaborate?

when i am running 60 or so and really dog it good to get out in front of someone it lags quite a bit i assume this is normal. I seems to defuel when the transmission gets ready to downshift on account of the throttle position , as it will not do this when easing into the throttle.

Mine is same way. Try easing into the throttle the response is much better

ease into the throttle, you will be suprised at how fast it picks up, 65-85 takes no time!

mine does it real good and I have been running the 85 predator, I changed the filter and still no joy, yesterday getting on the interstate I mashed it and truck fell on its face and black smoke bellowed out. I think something is going on because it is getting progressively worse

Next time put your truck in 5th before you "mash" it and see if the lag is gone. I think its taking the time to downshift two gears and that has caused it. I will either shift to 5th gear or hit my tow/haul button. Works for me, hope this helps.

Go to Manual Mode and tap to 5 gear, then mash from there!

x2 I think a lot of people try to mash it on the freeway around 5th and they get the same "lag" some worse than others. But ya just roll on the throttle and i don't think you will have to worry about it anymore

Its just the nature of the beast as I have been told. The 6 speed takes a second to drop two gears, and waits for boost to build. So either roll into it, or drop a gear to build boost and limit further down shifts.

Yea, mine does it also. If you ease into it instead of flooring it you might get better results.

I work around the lag spot, but the other day I needed to get ahead of a car and get into that lane NOW, wow it sucked.

Is there a reflash from dealer that will fix the lag? My truck did not seem to do it as bad brand new. I only have 6,000 miles. If you install a tuner it will eliminate the lag there should be a reflash to fix I would think.

Course my truck aint never been right, but my truck has all the latest reflashes done to it and even on days its running right, it lags. No refalsh to fix it I know of. As others said downshift, or roll into it.
