my DIC says to service four wheel drive. Any ideas on troubleshooting? The only thing that changed was that I removed and remounted a 6 inch by 6 inch module mounted to the inside frame rail by the drivers side rear axle to mount my 5th wheel hitch. I checked the connector on this module, all is ok. What is this module for?

just bring it in for warranty, that was its documented. im assuming your 07.5 came with warranty.

everytime I bring a vehicle into my local dealers, they break more than they fix.

well in that case, maybe go to the autozone and scan it for some codes. then look the code up to see whats up.

Autozone will not be able to scan for codes because this is a body (Bxxxx) or chassis (Cxxxx) code. Autozone can only read basic powertrain codes (P0xxx)

I would have to assume your truck has the integrated trailer brake control. If so, the module you moved was for that.

Dealer is your only option for the Service 4wd system message.Unless you find a Tech2,with current calibrations and a candi module.

yes, I do have the factory brake controller. I would assume that that module would have no effect on my 4wd code, just coincidental that the code appeared at the same time , correct?

I would think it was unrelated.

yes, the fuse on the fender distribution panel checked fine. When I turn the selector switch to switch between 2 wd and 4 wd, nothing happens. Upon start up the 2wd and 4wd lights do illuminate so there is power to the switch at some point.
