I've looking around at some of the pics of the lifted GMT900 trucks w/ 35's and it sure seems like they have quite a bit of space between the tires and wheel wells. I was picking up a classic this weekend, but MIGHT change over to this truck. Anyone know if this truck w/ a 6" Procomp lift could clear the BFG 37x12.5 R18 (36.6" Tall). I know it's probably possible to pick up an extra inch from the procomp (not sure I'd really want to though).
I did some searching and the only one's I saw w/ 37's were 9" lifts. But I thought maybe, just maybe, w/ a bit of crank on the torsion bars, it might work. Any clue anyone?

The BFG's run pretty small... so... i dont think it would be a big deal... what rim are you gonna put them on? The backspacing?

I havnt seen the new style trucks enough to know, but i could easily fit the 37" bfg's on my truck because like you said they do run a little smaller.

Did you put them on? cause I see 35" pro comps on your truck.....
The truck I saw WAS a 1500 (BUT I do not think there is THAT big of a differance between the LD and HD) it had a 6" fabtec lift and 35" pro comps on it. there was VERRY little room between the fenders and the tires.
yes BFG's run small BUT paying $$ for a 37 and then tearing it up because you needed and extra 2" makes no sence to me.
I'll go to the lot this weekend and get some pics.

The only reason I even ask is because of this pic of the truck w/ 35's

Sure looks like alot of room front to back, and that's an RCD lift.
As far as wheels go, I was thinking about the Diamo 8 Karat's 18". They have a 4.61" backspacing.

Yeah i have 35's now, but i test fitted sum 37s my buddy had and they worked. The person b4 me may have trimmed a little it looks like though. 37's can dedfinately be done with a 6", it just depends on if you want to trim or anything like that. Theres tons of people running 37's with 6". 35's are probably more practical, but if bigger is what you want, it can be done.
If people can fit 33's and 35's by crancking tbars and trimming you can definately do 37's w/6" if u want.

True, and I was not dissing ya :) I'm going off of what I've seen (and it WAS a 1500)
The pic above looks like you "could" get away with the 35-37's. I'll go to the dealer tomorow and take a tape measure and get some good idea of the wheel well openings!!!
