I have already had the line-x sprayed in. I was wanting to remove the black plastic cap off my tailgate and replace it with a diamond plate cap. Well I had it ordered, but it does not meet the line-x at the same place as the OEM. It is going to leave about 1/4" gap. I called line-x and he said that it would not look right if he resprayed that little gap. I need a diamond plate cap to match the OEM on the inside lip. And one more is the OEM cap just glued on?http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Confused.gif

I think that some of them cover the OEM cap if thats any help.

They are on with a 3M double sided tape I believe.

How would you think about masking off the new cover, and the line-x and using a spray can of the stuff, it's like 6 or 7 bucks at the store, I doubt anyone would notice the difference in grit level between the two if you did it right. . . Just a thought.
