Do you need special tools. Obviously I can't calibrate it. I see rebuild kits on Ebay?

Those kits are not "rebuild" kits, they are "reseal" kits. They don't come with any hard parts that might require replacement.

Also - the prices on Ebay are usually high, not low. Over-the-counter price for a DB2 kit is $12.

Ok, any idea's where to find a proper rebuild kit. I guess my local diesel shop can set the injection rate for me.

If you've got a diesel shop willing to calibrate your pump - consider yourself very lucky. I've yet to encounter anybody with a pump-stand willing to mount a pump on it unless they've had it part - and put it together themselves. When I worked in a pump shop, we weren't allow to do it.
Calibrating a pump yourself if not that difficult if you have some experience. The intial max. fuel setting is done with a 2" micrometer. Later, you can custom-tailor the fuel rate to suit your vehicle and driving habits with pump on the engine.
In regard to pump parts - I've been using Spaco for a few years now. Far as I can tell they are just as good as OEM Stanadyne. Spaco is an Italian diesel company - and - even Stanadyne now is having much of their own OEM stuff made in Italy. I just bought a set of new OEM Stanadyne injectors for my Ford diesel - and they are all "made in Italy."

I buy from a place in Fort Worth, Texas. www.usdiesel.com (http://www.usdiesel.com) They sell to anyone - phone # is 800-328-0037. There are also many other places - but they've been fine.

Kit U07530 for a DB2 comes with all the seal, fuel-pump springs and a new delivery-valve stop.

Kit U2437A kit for DB2 also comes with the old plastic ring that breaks.
