Just curious to see what a 2500HD looks like on 20's. Contemplating on 18's but I want to see 20's first before I take the plunge. Post any pics you may have. Thanks

Yeah, check out this post, DWRAT has 20's on his ride... I haven't posted any of my Duramax 2500HD CC on 22s yet. I guess one of these days when it stops raining here in Seattle I will have her detailed and get them photos up. DWRats ride looks nice though!

joshz06,

What size of tires does your friend have on that 2500 with 22's? How much rubbing does he experience? I have green keys and have trimmed the airdam and still slightly rub and my tires are NO where near that size. I am seriously interested in finding out how he got that much sidewall... Im running 305/40/22. Anything bigger rubbed.

Are you sure those are 22's? They look like Nitto Terra Grappler 305/55/20's on 20 inch Alba Grip wheels.

Thanks in advance,

JarrodEdited by: se7enracing

295/45/22 Tire is 32.8" Tall Slight Rub at lock when hitting a bump. Other than that drives a lot better than the 33/12.50/17's I had before.

Retorical,

Who makes the 295/45/22? I have Yoko 305/40/22s and they only measure out to a little under 32 inches. I am thinking about a little more sidewall on my tires.. I am interested in what tires you went with...

Thanks,

J

Tires sizes are 325/50/22

He had to do a little work on the fender wells and trim a little off the front bumper cover. He turned the torsion bars all the way up and the tires rub on full lock.Edited by: joshz06

joshz06,

Thanks for the size. If those wheels are the Albas, they have a pretty low positive offset (I don't remember the exact offset - +15 or something) but I remember thinking... wow, they would stick out a ton. His truck looks good though. Mine stick out a bunch as well and I have a 25+ offset on 9.5inch wheels. I am envious of the amount of rubber on that tire.. Are they the Nittos TG's?

Local website we have in Wilson NC. Wanna see a fast gas truck check under the videos. The same guy owns this truck.

BFG They also make a 22" that is Almost 37" Tall. I am thinking of them for next year with a 4" lift.

I have been considering an RCD or CST lift for mine - 6in though to fit the 35s under. the 4 inch will be tight with my offset. Nitto just came out with the Terra Grappler AT in a 325/50/22 which is 34.8" and they have the Terra Grappler MT in 37/13.5/22. To fit the 37's I am fairly certain you will need at least the 6inch probably the CST lift depending on your offset. I will probably only go with the 35s on an RCD. The CST is nice but a bit large for my little girl to be able to climb into (when shes older)...

I can't find any one in canada that sells Nitto Tires. Are they even available here?

You can look under Toyo as well. They are made in the same factory. If one makes one size, the other typically does as well... a little different tread design but if Nitto is doing it I am sure Toyo is as well... It won't be listed on a website, the tire dealer will need to call their distributor for the tires as they are such a new size..
