got two of them, one dumb, and one kinda smart...
first the kinda smart one, Say someone has a 74mm Q trim turbo, with a .85, T4 exhaust housing sitting around. does anyone think that it'd be suitable for our trucks? or would a full build with low comp pistons be in order?
The stupid one is, Is it worth keeping around? i mean, i know it is, i pretty much stole it so I'm not loosing anything by keeping it around, but at the same time, if it's useless on the truck. then i pretty much I have no use for it. I bought it for my Syclone that I'm now selling in stock form, so it's kinda just hanging around and being the nut I am, I'm obviously looking for something to put it on :D

that's huge for a 6.5, however i am very interested in it for one of my gasoline projects, that should be good for almost 1000 hp in gas form...........pm me if you want to get rid of it and make some money

I'd say go for grape's deal - find yourself a Holset HX-35 offa Dodge Cummins - slight mod to the flange, mod the down-pipe and you're good to go
Hey - maybe grape'd tradeja one.............

I agree that would be a very large turbo for a 6.5.
A better match for a mildly boost (and possibly intercooled) 6.5 would a T04E with a 60 or 64 trim in a non-wastegated form with a .84 or .70 A/R exhaust housing. The exhaust side will probably need some tweaking to suit your desired performance characteristics, hence the choice of housings. I don't think that a full build would even make that turbo work...

You must have had some pretty nice plans for the 'Clone! That's a good size turbo for one of them too.

I HAD nice plans for the Sy, but the **** hit the fan all at once, and now i'm outta money so I'm just putting it back together and getting rid of it. I'm paying pretty heftily every month for it between payments and Ins., and being 6'2" and 245lbs it's a little tighter of a fit than I like :( I have it sittin around it'll probably sit on the shelf for a year or so.
I've got a 75 'vette sittin at my dads house thats been neglected for the past 5-6 years. slowly been workin on it. just needs blocked and painted as far as the body work is concerned, and a drive train. the price of an LS1/T56 combo is at a decent mark now. maybe it'll go on that :D thats alot more doable since i'm not making payments on it lol
