For those of you running this stack, how do you like it? Aside of the tranny, what are some of the problems that you have run into? Also any 1/4 mi. times/speed and dyno numbers would help also. Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Adam

Adam, I don't advise this stack.. I run it bc that's what I have.. If I had my choice, I'd go with something other than the predator.. The edge is great though.. Put them together and they just don't make much extra power.. My truck runs fastest with the predator on "stock tune".. It runs 8.7's in the 8th (around 80 to 82 mph) and 13.7's in the quarter (around 100 mph). Not exactly slow, though there are better choices out now...

From the seat of the pants, the knew predator tune is much much better than the older tunes and I really like it. They also stack very well together but will gernade the stock tranny very quick. the predator has A LOT of off the idle power and has mostly bottom end power were the juice has less bottom end power but more top end power. I liked the stack but Ive only used a few time for fear of tranny issues. No track times to back it up though, maybe this weekend at the diesel getogether.

I have stacked the regular juice on level 4 highest setting and predator on 40 HP mode and I dyno'd at 426 HP and 820 FT# of torque. I have not been to the track with the stack.

Any more info on this subject? LLY's?
I am looking into Diablo Predator, and planning on SC III.
All info is appreciated.

When running my Predator on the 65 tune and the Edge J/A on five, with stock tranny(upgrading very soon),37" tires and 4.56 gears my 0-60 time checked with the Attitude is 8.6. My best before gears and Predator was 9.8. I don't know how accurate the Attitude is,but it seems like a good gain. I don't think the gears made all the improvement.Even before the gears the Predator seemed to boost bottom end quite a bit.

After upgrading my predator to the latest veraion this stack does not perform very well together. I get bursting or I am hitting the rev limiter. In the middle of WOT the truck cuts out three times in a row real quick to each other. Boom, Boom, Boom. This happen close to high RPM so it must be the rev limiter kicking in. This did not happen with the Predator 1.08 version.

One thing not being distinguished here, is which version (LB7 or LLY) are we dealing with? I see sigs with both, but no mention in the original post.

Adam,

I have been running the predator/Edge Attitde kit for about 3 weeks now on my LLY and it is much quicker (seat of pants meter) on take of and bottom end throttle response. Although it still isn't as fast as my LB7 was with the same combo. Although I don't have a stock transmission, so be careful with a stock trans.

I have found that the best running for me without "bursting" is to have the predator at stock or on the 40hp tune (where I keep it) and then I run the juice at stage 1 for normal driving and stage 5 for race and it really works good. You start cranking up the predator much more and you have to back off on the Juice. I personally think the Juice is a much better power adder and thats why I keep the predator on lower tunes. I'm most impressed witht he way the predator sets up your shifting. It seems firmer and/or snappier to me. I could be a little biased on this though because I'm not sure how it collaberates with the co-pilot.....
This is on a LB7 and a NON stock tranny.

Well, it's been in on the 65hp for over a month now with no problems. I think that it did help out a lot especially on the low to mid range power. It is pretty quick up to 65-70 mph. I do think that it is just a matter of time on the tranny though. All of that aside, what would you stack with the J/A besides the Predator? Results? This would be on a different truck that would have the tranny done before the stack. Both trucks are LB7's.

Thanks,
Adam

I ran my truck with the Predator on the high setting and the Juice on the 90 hp setting. I dyno'd at 441 and 778, but there were many on here that called BS, so I don't post about it anymore. All I know is that the Cummins and Fords that were there had most all dyno'd before elsewhere and pulled almost identicl numbers that they pulled on other dynos. I run the Predator on the 40 hp tune and the Juice at 0,1 or 2. I did not have the J/A installed at the time of the dyno, so I could not tell you what the 120 hp setting would do know. With just the Juice on at level 0, I pulled 356 at 576.
It drives well this way, and when I turn up the Juice, it smokes really nice!
