For those of you running this upgrade, how does it affect the shift firmness? Is it a lot harder than stock? I know that on my tranny (47RE) it firmed up quite a bit, too much for my taste before they retuned it for me, but it's good now. What I'm trying to find out is does this upgrade make the tranny shift to hard for some people.

Thanks,

Adam

I doubt most people could tell my truck isnt stock ridding in it. Well untill you get on ithttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Evil Smile.gif. It aint no B&M junkhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Cool.gif

Edit: remember this is on an allison and not a dodge. Oh....and I lied, you can definatly feel the TC lock up in 5th, feels like a extra gear. It is the firmest thing that happens when you are just cruising. Not really harsh thoiugEdited by: ratlover

Ratlover is right on.....

Unless you get on it, it will shift and feel stock....

Even stock, the 5th gear converter lock is very firm.

Its a nice firm shift.... A hard shift does nothing for a trans... Back in the day everyone modded their trannys to bang hard. Waste of time and hard on the trans.
