Hey all. Awhile ago I read about people using a certain brand of wipers. Having good results with them.

Anyone know, or remember the brand?

I was going to try the PIAA ones. I've heard they are good.

Thanx. Any idea about the availability, this side of the boarder? I suppose if they are anything like the PIAA lights......$$.

I've had a pair of the PIAA silicone wipers on the truck for over a year now. I just noticed on my last road trip (4,000 miles Ohio to Texas and back through Florida and hurricane Frances) that they were getting a little streaky (especially in the clouds of love bugs that I had to deal with in Texas and Florida). They were very pricey - but gave great service and have outlasted about three sets of other wipers that I have used, mostly Bosch. I believe that I ordered them online from McMillan - will be searching for them to reorder today.

93055 - PIAAź Wiper Blades
Wiper Length - 22" (550mm)
2001 Chevrolet Silverado
fits 1999-2004 Chevrolet Silverado 2 @ $19.95 = $39.90
PRODUCT SUBTOTAL: $39.90
Ground Shipping: $7.00
Tax Amount:
(IL Residents only) $0.00
TOTAL: $46.90

$19.95 each may seem pricey in comparison to the Ansco and other economy brands that you can buy at the discount stores - but I just checked my records and I've had the current pair on the truck for TWO years (installed 09/06/02) and over 60,000 miles! That includes a couple of winters in Maryland and Ohio.

Well, given my current situation, I can't justify the expense. Max Power said $35 CDN per blade. I can't find them around here, but still have two more places to check. See if they can be had cheaper.

What do you guys think of the winter wiper blades? (enclosed in rubber) I don't ever remember having a set on my vehicles. Any better than the straight steel ones?Edited by: Max Owner

I have liked the Rain-X brand but dont even come close to 60,000 miles. At the end of the 60k do they still work good. I do like a good set of blades.
