I looked at Chevy Truck website and either the Duramax Specs are not there or I couldn't figure out how to find them. Anyway, anyone know the hp & torque for 2005.http://dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Cool.gif

Just checked a GM site. Says 310 hp and 590 ftlb torque. Did not state any transmission type.

Talking to yourself is no big deal. When you start hearing answers is when the problems start. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/HiHi.gif

wow, that is funny I just went to the GMC site and its states

310 hp @ 3000 rpm

Best in Class 605 lb-ft of torque @ 1600 rpm

Available on 2500HD/3500 Regular, Extended, and Crew Cab models

They must have updated thier specs from the 04.5's already.

Looks like the GM site I looked up had not been updated with 2005 information. As we used to say in the Navy-10never get the word% . I've got it now.

If you look at the GMC site, they don't appear to be sure. Click on the Duramax link and the popup says 310/605. Click on Features/Specs and it says 310/590http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif

I'm not debating the number though...it's 310/605, just think it's funny that GMC's site isn't sure.

Yeah, but just remember, that's not in first or fifth gear, only second through fourth. Some 'fine print' they left off the GM site. Still impressive though. I'm happy with my 2005.
