Dont't know how Eric would feel about this but some people might want to check out Snapon.com for gift certificates that can be e-mailed to people. (like Eric for instance) just a thought...

I appreciate that very much. Some of you have sent me items of gratitude and I appreciate it very much.. I do spend many hours in front of this thing trying to help out as much as possible and sometimes I wonder why I do it. Then a thoughfull email comes across or something that helps justify the time. I dont get any compensation from my knowledge sharing and I dont even make anything on the parts I sell.. They are all from the dealership I work for and I am just the middle man. What little profit is made is the dealers. Those of you in the business know that mechanics are flat rate and are very unlikely to do anything they dont get paid for. I try and give the little extra to my customers to keep them happy and keep the faith in the truck that they have given so much for. I estimate that i recieve around 50 emails a day and thats not counting the post notices that the forum sends.. Most are frustrated owners that cant get the truck fixed, alot are from shops around the country that are struggling with one.. some are from customers with just general questions. Not to mention the ones I get from family and friends about nothing to do with Diesel stuff. A great deal of time goes into my internet work and sometimes it gets very over welming. I just keep trying to do the best I can with the time I have. I have to share my away from work time with my Wife and 6 month old daughter while still trying to have a personal life for myself. I hope it dont sound like I am whining here, just getting a load off my chest. I know you all appreciate the help I give and thats what keeps me going... Thanks for listening

Eric

Yes it is impresive when I can get for good info from Eric in one email than I can from my local dealer in months. Keep up the good work, but don't burn yourself out.

THANKS

Well Eric there's no doubt here how much you are appreciated, than again, finding the perfect balance between work, play, personal interest and family is virtually impossible(as the father of a 15yr, 13yr and 16month old) I speak from experience.

Just be sure to spend time with that little girl of yours. They go from toddler to teenager in the blink of an eye and I'd hate to see you miss it!!!!!

ANd trust me, teenage girls make those sleepless nights of a baby fussing seem like a cakewalkhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Cry.gif

dmaxalliTech,

As has been alluded to, everything can change in the blink of an eye - take care of the family. I wish I had not worked as much in my earlier years and had been there for her and my son. I just received a call from my daughter tonight saying her husband had left her and my 3 year old grandson. I have really appreciated your insightfullness.

TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF AND THE FAMILY.
