Hey everyone,

I've done a little searching through the forum and have decided I'm going with the Edge/Attitude combo for my LB7/ZF-6 combo. I've got $800 burning a hole in my pocket and I don't think I can hold out anymore.

Essentially, I don't have the time to continue searching today, so I'm hoping I can get some questions answered quickly here. If I offend you looking for easy answers like this, just tell me to piss off. I understand.

Will the Edge/Attitude combo yield dramatic results considering everything else is still stock (intake, exhaust, etc.)?

Will there be EGT issues without freeing up intake and exhaust?

I have read there are issues with the Allison and the highest power setting. What about Level 5 and the ZF-6?

I have a California truck. Are there any differences, issues, gotchas I need to know about with the Edge/Attitude?

Thanks very much!

get it. Temp shouldnt be an issue. I cant comment on the zf6. You will see a big difference even on level 2. I run on 3 most of the time, 4 on occasion. I am saving up for my tranny before I start playing with 5. You will be grinninghttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif

With the edge you can turn the low boost fueling down so you will lose some reponsiveness but it wont smoke as bad. A exhaust wont make power really but it will kep egt's down a bit more. You will notice lotsa difference with no other mods. Dont know what level the dm flywheel gets pissed off power wise......better ask the handshaker guys

The CA trucks will smoke more hence the lower levels of low boost fueling available.

The CA trucks seem to run much higher EGT's so I'd suggest watching that closely, or change the exhaust.

Make your shifts cleanly and smoothly. No speed shifting, or you'll pay later with the dual mass flywheel.

May or may not hold level 5. Simpler to stick with levels 2 and 3. Unrelated, but RaceHemi's buddy with the Ford PSD 6.0 is always giving the peace symbol. He runs level 2 and only 2 and his Trouqueshift has been working well. Many others have creamed their Torqueshift with too much power

Thank you for the replies.

John, what do you consider much higher EGT's?

Thanks,

Gary,

I have an "03" GMC with no real exhaust on intake mods. Did the swiss cheese thing on the intake though. Also have the ZF-6 and you will notice a big difference. Shifting through the lower gears is smooth unlike some of the other boxes where there is a real power jump right where you want to shift. I run on level 3 most of the time with little to no smoke. My truck passes tourists like I am on a motorcyclehttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/HiHi.gif.

I love it!!

You're crazy if you pay $800. You can find them for $600.
