Hey guys I have never owned a diesel before. I found a 2002 ex-cab 4x4 duramax with a stage 5 programmer not sure of the brand. It has 82,000 miles super super clean inside and out and custom leather seats. The guy wants 20,000 for it. Is this truck worth that?:cool:

Sounds ok to me. Is it a manuel and auto, good tires, transmission work properly, and other mods like gauges or anything for that programmer?

I just paid $19,000 for my 01 2500hd ext cab, auto, 82,000 miles. Mine was also super clean. Cloth interior, no programmer.

Sounds reasonable. Bought my stock (at that time) 2002 D-max Oct. 2006 with 70,000 on it for $20,000. May seem like a lot of bank for a 2002 truck, but you've just stepped up to peak performance and it's resale should follow suit.

I paid 18,900 pre tax etc. for my 2002 ccsb lb7 all stock w/100K. I feel that I got a real good deal. I sold a 2001 x-cab lb7 for 15,000. It was not perfect and had 200k. You're in the ballpark. It's tough to find a d-max much under 20,000.

paid 19,00 for mine, might have a injector problem and suspension work, but worth it so far.

wow i think i did pretty good 01 2500HD Ex/cab LS 95000 miles "banks kit"for 17,500 it needs tinted glass and new rims.

Watch the transmission, with the programmer, it might have a fried tranny, but otherwise it sounds like a good deal, just watch for the pump rub issue in the transfer case
