My juice went south so I sent it in and got the new version. I got the new version and I have the same problem but at the opposite end. My first one was reading egt's way high. Like 1300-1700 on cold motor idling. My second on is only reading 150 at cold idle and never goes over 500 while driving. They sent me a new probe but before I installed it I ohm ed it out. This showed that the meter I was using was faulty. I use my meter from work and all three probes check out with in the specs. I am at a stand still. I am waiting to talk to edge again. Any one have any suggestions?

Even the probe ohm's out okay, we have had a few that are totally way out to lunch, we also found that the connections can be fussy! I dunno if this helps you, but I thought I'd give it a shot!

On mine I was reading over 2200 deg f. I got ahold of Edge and they said there has been some problems with the Juice having bad EGT readings. They just sent me a new one, but I have not been home to check it out yet.

My EGT readings are funny too. When I turn on the key display shows 155 degrees when the truck is cold and not running. It also goes up to 500 on easy excelleration and up to 1000 degrees when I let off the gas ???
Did anybody get to the bottom of this ??

nothing but Good ole juice quality that everyone on this forum raves about http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley3.gif If it's not eroneous EGT's its no-starts, cold knocking, fading attitude displays, and the list goes on. But it's the "Best" http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley5.gif right?Edited by: bartman

I was just getting ready to start a new topic on how accurate do you guys think the Attitude engine temp is. When the dash guage goes up the Juice goes down and visa versa. Never hooked up the EGT.
Engine according to the Attitude normally runs 185-187 at an idle and runs up to 194-198 at 70 mph. Pulling a 7 degree hill with no load will run it up to 210 occasionally but the truck guage stays well below 200.

bartman,
Who said it was the best? If you don't like it, don't buy it. . .
There are plenty of other boxes and tuners out there and there are
plenty of good reviews on many others. I bought an Edge
Juice/Attitude, and have been extremely happy with it. When
something big is available, like the TTS Extreme, for my truck, I'll
give that a try. There are many happy Edge customers. Those
that have problems, are generally fixed right away by Edge customer
service. The reason you hear about so many of the problems about
Edge, is because there are so many on this forum that own one.
That to me says it is a good product if so many own it. I think
of it like this. If you didn't know anything about diesels and
came to this website, you'd be scared to death about buying a Duramax,
hearing all the problems on this forum. This forum brings out
issues. That makes it seem like there are bigger problems than
there are. I'm not sure you could say any one or other box or
tuner is the 'Best' because each one suits each individual's needs
differently.

I have had a few problems with mine. The guys at edge did everything they could to fix it right away. I still have it and hate to think I would have to do with out it!
