Local Allison dealer offered the following deal on transynd switchover.
Install Allison deep pan
Install new internal filter
Install new external filter
Flush Dextron III and fill with Transynd
Cost $350.00
If it was just flush/fill I'd say no thanks, but with the deep pan, internal filter change is this a decent price?

Parts and labor. They said it takes about 2 hrs. I figured it this way
deep pan and filters approx $120
Transynd 3 gal approx $135
Labor 1.5 hrs 100
comes pretty close to the $350 they quoted.
How many quarts of fluid for a full flush and fill on a transmission with the deep pan? ( guessed at 12 quarts) Doesn't the deep pan add about 3 quarts capacity?

Changing over using Hoots method took 4 1/2 gallons with my stock pan and external filter change. The 5 of Transynd cost me $178.00. Your price sounds good if they are making sure all your fluid will be changed out.

I just did mine and don't forget the filter lock. Allison deep pan, internal/spin on filter, filter lock, 13 quarts transynd. $188.00 and 20min.

That is a good price and quick time. Hoot method or drain and fill?
