i was wondering...i read where the new cummins already meets year 2010 emissions standards, which i think is great. but by 2010 we are going to be looking at diesels with probably 400+ hp and 750 ft lbs of torque coming out of the factory. will it still meet the 2010 emissions at higher hp levels which it will have to make as gm and ford increase their hp? if not, than i think its kinda pointless as to whether or not it meets those emissions now. just a thought.......

I dont know if it will make mpre hp and still meet 2010 standards, dont know. IMO though even if it dditn make 1 more horse then it does now, gm is at 400 horse 750 ft lbs of torque, and cummins is still at 310 (i think that is hwat dodge is at now) I may go dodge even w/less horse and torque if the dodge hass less emissions crud on it. There are some talks of urea injection etc, if gm is hihger horse, but has more emission crud on it, I would take the lesser horsepower truck. Just me, 310 horse is plenty for me anyways, And by 2010 theres hould be tons of power upgrades for the 6.7 to bring their numbers up a bit.

your numbers are a little off, the Dodge 6.7 in the Pickup trucks makes 350/650 and the GM's make 365/660

Looked at a new mega-cab with the 6.7. was thinking about a tundra, but know it looks like another Dodge. I don,t really need another diesel, but the6.7 with the 6 speed plus all that mega room, may make me re-think my decision.
