is there an easy way to put a pc in your car. i have been using my coputer in my car for a while and was thinking how much better it would be to have a screan in the car and a real pc with usb inputs, dvd rom and pca slots for wirelss interent.

I've got a 15" laptop that i'm going to mount in my truck. I've always liked the carputer idea, but I don't have the money for basically a touchscreen, so I'm going with what's free. One thing, if you go with your idea, most verizon phones can be tethered to the net, and your gonna want a better sound card.

cool. The laptop I'm gonna use has an 800 mhz p3. good to see someone is having good luck with something under 1 ghz in this application. I just have to figure out how to run everything off of 2 PCMCIA slots and 1 onboard USB port. I see a lot of USB hubs in my future. :D
