Anyone running an air ride hitch under their fifth wheel? Just wondering how effective it is at smoothing the ride on rough roads or the pulsing that happens in MI with a crack every 20 feet.

I have a air ride in my 04.5 3500.

We tow a 33 foot Excel and yes the air ride does help, HOWEVER, almost everyone that I've talked with or have read on some of the lists has a problem with concrete joints.

It has to do with the distance between axles and I quess it's something a person has to live with. we've just swtiched to a fiver from a class A and we don't have a lot of miles under our belt towing yet. I do believe that the air hitch does help a bunch, but not 100%

I don't like a air hitch. On a fairly smooth road it's really nice and smooths out the little bumps. On a rough road the son of a b*^#@ bounces like mad. Don't waste your money. I picked up my buddies 38' brand new Cedar Creek 5er and he had one put on. I hated to tell him that my conventional hitch bounced a whole lot less on rough roads.
