I'm just sick of hearing about the bad dmax's. I want to hear about the good. I have a 01 c/c 4x4 with 66,000 miles and the juice set on 4 for most of it's life. No problems with injecters so far. And by the way i drive it like i stole it.

Put a Juice Attitude on for the first time and you talk about a surprise. Unbelievable the performance you get out of a diesel. One of the best things about the Duramax is it's ability to take on performance upgrades and not even wimper.

My 01 is just a pure kick in the butt to drive. I have zero problems with it. It is completely stock except for the pre-oem filter. My prior truck was a '94 Dodge with Cummins. They ain't even in the same league. Two trips across the US packing a 4000 lb camper!

24k on mine and all stock 'cept for the pre-oem. I LOVE this truck! I'm doing all my own maintenance so far thanks to the people on this forum and now that I've had a taste of real power (since I disconnected the egr) I can't wait to add more. I took my tt to the shop this morning and even though the performance was great I was speed-freekin' when I unhitched and took off. My power train is stock, except for a mufflerectomy. I have 38,300 trouble free miles. It seems to run better and with more power all the time. I'd love to put a VA box on for just a bit more towing performance, but most of the time, in the traffic I have to drive in, the way it is works just fine. I love the Duramax. I wish it didn't have that niggling birth defect in the injection system. Who knows if it's going to catch mine or not. If GM would just assure us all that it will stick by us on the replacement question (I know, fat chance) I'd have no reason ever to look elsewhere. This is the only vehicle I've ever owned where sitting for hours in LA or SF traffic on a Friday night seems as much a blessing as a curse. So long as I have an interesting CD to listen to (and I don't have to pee) I just don't care. It's more comfortable than my best chair at home.

23K on mine, 5 trips between Florida and Ohio, 4 trips towing, big JD tractor, (17K GCVW) 4 horse gooseneck, 2 horse bumper pull, and 31' Airstream travel trailer. Hate to think what the fuel bill would have been had I done all this with my old 454! No problems at all.

Mine is an '01 completely stock with 29K on it. I tow a 7000# travel trailer and it pulls like a dream. MPG is improving too, over 17.5 on a recent interstate trip cruising between 75-85. Have gotten 20 driving sensibly, which ain't often. It's been in the shop twice; once for a small coolant leak(loose clamp) and once for wind noise,cd player(replaced) and air cond.(replaced connector). Puts a http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif on my face every time I drive it.

I just turned 92,000 on my '01 - it will be 3 years old Oct. 10th. I just towed my 6x12 box trailer 4,000 miles from Ohio to Texas and back through Florida (through Frances - managed to dodge Ivan). Edge Attitude on level 4 the whole way - got 16.5 mpg going "downhill" from Ohio to Florida on the way out, 12.4 mpg driving 14 hours in 70 mph wind and torrential rain through Frances across I-10 from Ocala to San Antonio. Averaged 14.6 for the whole trip. Only problem I've had with mine was the serpentine belt idler, some reflashes, a couple of bulbs and tires! http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif Edited by: Idle_Chatter

My '02 CC 2500 D/A (88,000 miles and going strong) gets better than 19 mpg when I can stay out of it, and 18 when I drive it like I stole it. With the price of diesel fuel these days, every little bit counts.....

I love to blow the doors off unsuspecting "sports cars" like the BMW convertible I got the other morning coming in to work. The blonde driving it was furious when that big 'ol diesel truck wouldn't let her cut me off when the road narrowed down.

My 04 with only 11.5K miles, is without a question the best truck I have ever driven. I have only had GM trucks, and this tops them all.

It is a towin' machine!!!

I was washing mine the other day and a fellow came over to ask about the truck. He posed an interesting question. If something happened to yoiur truck and you had to replace it, what would you change about it? After doing some soul searching, I came up with the answer. Not a thing. I love it just the way it is! 17,000 trouble free miles so far.....

I just found this place and have been reading for 2 days!

We have an '04 3500 crew cab dually LB. So far it has a little over 20k miles on it- mostly highway but some pulling a 36' 5 horse trailer. No problems at all. We absolutely love this truck! I am thinking of trading in my 2000 3500 gaser for another D/A next year (even though my gaser only has 30k miles on it!).

03CC with 40K miles => going strong! Banks 6Gun, TFlow 45-gal tank, Racor pre-oem filter, Bilsteins and a mufflerectomy are main changes.

Only problems were a fuel leak on day one (new rail) and weak A/C.

Towed my travel trailer 5200 miles this summer, this truck makes towing a breeze.

Best truck I have ever owned! (But ask me again at 80K.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif)

01 2500 with 150k, this truck is stock, so far, pulls like a train and never complains. Thought I had an injector problem but was just loose return lines, fixed it myself and didn't cost a dime. Love the truck

72,500 miles on my '01 and it runs stronger than ever. I've had a fix done on the steering column per a TSB and also a couple reflashes of the computer...all on GM's tab. This is bar none the best vehicle I've owned.

'02 with 93k miles. Truck is flawless except for the $#*& dual mass flywheel. Going in the shop for the second replacement. Besides this one glitch, this is by far the best truck that I have ever owned. It will be 3 years old in November and I still cannot wipe the smile off of my face evertime I drive it!!!

04 2500HD CC 4X4 LB7, aproaching 1 year old (Nov 03), and 9k on the odo. A couple of minor warranty issues (front end alignment & seat memory), other than that completely trouble free! Juicew/***, Bilstiens help performance and Racor Pre-OEM helps my injector health. Truck kicks butt! I love this truck!

64000 kms and no problems , it is juiced at 90 horse since new . I bent a pushrod at 3000 kms , the servicman said it's not good to start them in 37 c weather not plugged in . it barley turned over , shook violently and stalled twice , but i drove it home , never again . I think if you put the edge chip in it it makes the perfect truck , power to dazzle your friends , drive them hard and they will last , not stupid hard , but hard .http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/uploads/459_P80700075.jpg
