Let me tell you what a diffrence. Loaded it and took the truck out and it felt great. It did not shift any diffrent like many people say they do when you load a tune. There was no flares between shifts or anything. Also i checked my balance rates and all of them were +-1 in idle and drive except for one that was +3 in idle and drive.

im going to bump it up to a 65 tune and leave it there. I dont tow over 8,000 lbs so i can load it and leave it. only other performance upgrade is exhaust.

Good to hear. I never loaded the 40hp tune, I just jumped to the 65. Glad you don't have the surging problem.

How did you drive your '04 with the 85 program in, and did you limp it? I want to put the 85 in, but am afraid of what the wife will have to say if I limp it.

I didnt really beat on it....And I rarely got on it in 4th gear...I never limped it up to around 60,000 miles. On that truck, I ran Edge, Hypertech and Predator.

Some people run on the 120 tune and never limp it....I wont but I'm just saying that some so.

i have never limped my tranny, so i guess i have never run it that hard, and i thought i had. i run the edge on level 6 sometimes, and dont have a problem. i keep it on level 4 most of the time. good mileage with it. that is 90 hp i think. runs good, and no prob. running hard over 100 hp all the time is what i understand not to do. so i dont, just when i feel like putting out a lil black smoke. i have also learned that pisses alot of people off. funny, hahahaha

Exactly! I put mine on the 120 tune about a month ago and it is way too much fun to go back down to a lesser power. :D I haven't had the slightest bit of tranny problems....yet and hopefully ever. I'm very careful on the 4 -5 shifts and hit my OD lockout if I need to stomp on it for a quick pass. I may force myself to go back to the 85 one of these days but man is the 120 tune fun!

I'm thinking about going to the 120 tune just to screw around with, but with my luck...bam, there goes the trans.

What kind of software do you need to download or upload the predator info into your computer. Are they compatible with Apple computers :D or just windows  ?

Are there prorammers out there that are Mac friendly or are the all over on the dark side of windows :evillol:

To my knowledge you cannot connect the Duramax Predator, at least not for the LB7, to a computer to download updates or upload information to your computer.

I drive my truck every day on the 85hp tune, and I tow my race car in my enclosed trailer with it on the 85hp tune and have not had any troubles as of yet, been a couple of months of everyday driving and 3 weekends of towing, no problem
