: H2 Rims And Center Caps
I have purchased chrome H2 rims from an '06 Hummer. I have also ordered Bridgestone Dueller A/T Revo's in 265/70/17E size. My question is this: I took my Chev center caps off and placed them on the H2's. I really at first glance was not impressed with the look because of the space from edge of center cap to the edge of where the original H2 center cap goes. Does this just blend in once they are on the truck or do they look odd. Also if I trim the small plastic tips off and they sit flush do they look better. Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
MankesMax 04-11-2007, 12:19 PM Take the 4 spacers on each center cap off. They come right off, no cutting (unless they are not the PYO wheel, then you may have to cut).
When you install them without the spacers, they will literally click right in and sit flush. If you don't hear the "pop or click", they may come out while driving. I was asking the same questions a month or so ago. Hope it works out. Great combo IMO. Check out my garage if you want pics.
Good luck

cargoone 04-11-2007, 02:18 PM They blend in .... don't even notice the gap. I just put Chrome H2's on my truck, they look great, check my garage
I don't really notice the gap either .....but I could see how you might not like it if your the type to pay real close attention to detail !!
I do really like them with the pegs cut so they pull up real flush.....keeps the cap deep inside the rims ....I hate it when the cap sticks out farther than the wheel !!
Thanks for the replies thus far. I am real fussy but all the reassurance has me much more comfortable. What does PYO wheel stand for? Is that the steel wheel? The rims I have are the aluminum rims, so does that mean I'll need to trim off the spacers?
Polished aluminum wheels are the PYO ! I think "PYO" has something to do with the code for those wheels from GM !!
gearhead 04-11-2007, 06:28 PM I put center caps from a 88 to 98 Chevy and in my opinion they fit and look much better.

I had to trim about 1'8-1/4" all the way around it to fit it "inside" that lip, but I think they look much better than using the "hummer" center caps.

I've seen PYO soooo many times on here. Check this out...
Z71, Z28, Z06 - suspension packages
LB7, LLY, LBZ - engines
I'm sure GM will come up w/ PYO sticker, slap it on the fender, and jack up the price by a grand or so. It'll even add 25 horses @ the ground!!!:D

That was stock with just the t-bars cranked up with longer shocks and the front valance trimmed. Now it's sitting on the 7-9 Cognito with H2's and I'm patiently waiting for my 37" toyo's to come in.
I just got this combo. installed yesterday. They look fantastic. The space doesn't bother me at all. The Revo's in 265/70/17 give the truck such an improved look and stance form the factory setup. Thanks all for your feedback.

What did you do with your suspension?
I didn't adjust my suspension at all. I'm not very mechanically inclined so I really didn't want to trim or raise my suspension. I've done a few U-turns in the last few days and feel a slight rub at the extreme. I'll crawl around on the weekend to see where. I don't think I'll worry about it though.

How did you get the cognito to work with the h2 rims? everybody told me they wouldn't work.

I want H2s but I tow alot and dont want to loose too much performance...
