I've got any 05 ccsb 4x4 with any edge juice/***, afe stage 1, and 4 inch straight exhaust. I'm looking to do some more mods. I've been looking at the PPE boost controler.... is it worth it? how big of a difference does it make? I've read all of the threads concerning it but it seams like ever one's split, some like it some hate it. Also is there anything else i can do to get some more power with out breaking the bank? BTW the tranny is stock, and I'd like to keep it that way to keep it from voiding my warranty?

An Edge will supply as much power as the stock trans can handle. Actually more.

Adding a PPE Boost Controller will add about 15-25rwhp IF you have a "non-boosted" Edge. Some of the first run were "boosted", but they had turbo bark issues, so the production release units had the boost removed.

If you are willing to do the trans, there are lots of options you can go with.

You might even just get a cheap used Predator, load the lowest tow tune on it and stack it with the Edge. But again, the Edge on "kill" will put out slightly more HP than the stock trans can hold in the long run.

i bought a predator today.... gonna give it a shot

Just remember to give your tranny time to learn this new found power....The shifts will be a little quirky at first.

thanks for your help. i installed the predator HP tow tune onto the edge....... all i can say is WOW and talk about smoke!!! it looks like I'm gonna have to start saving up 4 the SC V now.
