I have an '07 pre-emissions 4500 6.6 LLY DMax, unsure as to whether I have a five or six speed alllison. Does the V.I.N. indicate? Also anyone have a Banks Six Gun tuner on one of these? Banks tells me they have been having some luck with this application.

Check the owners manual or window sticker if you have it. I was told the '07 would have the 6 speed but do not know for sure. You could always go out and count how many shifts it makes to know for sure.

The six speed autos have the manual option on the gear selector with +/- buttons. The '07 (Tier 2) diesels will have 6spds.

Yeah I dont know about that in medium duty trucks McCall, Is that +/- button by the tow haul mode button?.
I have an 07 built in Sept 06 its a 6 speed....Im positive all 07 MODEL year trucks have 6 speeds. Unless Im missing something

Son in law ordered one that just came in two days ago. He told me when he ordered it he had the choice of the 5 or 6 speed. He specified the 6 speed.
