This is what I posted previously. I use Stanadyne all the time.
Stanadyne is what I use. It is supposed to improve the entire fuel system. I get about 1-2 miles per gallon better mileage using it.
Suggest you check out this site: http://www.blueridgediesel.com/specials1.htm
I just ordered 5 gallons of Stanadyne. It is much cheaper to buy in 5 gallons. I figure 5 gallons will last about 45,000 miles!
It is approved by GM and has no alcohol.

I put it in the first tank and have been running it since. I've only got 1K miles on the truck and no issues so far. My only complaint is that it stinks worse than diesel. And you can smell it coming out the pipe. If you do go with the larger containers and transfer it to smallers, use paper towels to clean up any spillage. You can't launder the smell out of a rag, trust me, I tried!http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif

I use it every so often. If there is any fuel mileage improvement, I guess in my case it is about .2 of a gallon. That my be wishful thinking on my part. Those that are showing better mileage figures may be using diesel fuel with a lower centane number.
I haven't noticed that the truck runs any better, but then again, it doesn't run any worse. One of the techs posted a note a few weeks ago saying it sometimes will help unstick an injector, so that sounds like a good deal. Since most of the published benefits are long term, I have no idea how to confirm the claims. I will continue to use it with the hope that it does what is says, and GM implies that it is ok to use.
