Where are some of the locations you folks have mounted power inverters? I'm not asking how to hook up - just where. Right now, I'm thinking behind the rear seat of my crew cab, but I'm looking for suggestions.
TIA!

The one I mounted is under the back seat in the center , of coarse I had to build a bracket to keep it up off the carpet. Also the switch and plugs are almost flush with the front of the seat cushion . I found I can reach the switch while sitting in the drivers seat and still able to plug and unplug electrical cords .

Mine is mounted under the rear driver's side seat next to the VCR, which is part of an Audiovox video system. Keep in mind that some inverters have internal fans that are noisy. If you want to power higher amp stuff you may want to put the unit under the hood and run the outlet to the interior, unless you don't care about the fan droning in the cabin.

Over size it for your needs and the fan will not come on .

A second thought , you do not want it under the hood exposed the the elements .

I have a small 200w inverter in my truck. Since I dont have any CD's in the cubby under my tape deck, I put it in there. That way I can close the door and no one knows it is there.
I just held it in with some velcro so if I need to extend it out, I can.
Works great!
