I know this isn't a performance question, but it is an aftermarket question in a sense. I just can't see paying the premium for the stock tank sender. I was curious if someone had found a way to attach an ordinary float sender to the assembly and make it work. Yeah, I got an orange message starring me in the face 24/7.

I have found nothing to do that. I wish GM or AC Delco would release just the sender separate as in some applications, but for now, you must buy the whole thing.
