2002 D/A 3500 92,000 miles GMC I drove from Salt Lake Utah to Decatur Tx. pulling 15k# RV with cracked fuel injector . After several hours of pulling I had oil changed and would have about 21 qts. removed .The reason for driving this ,their were no parts ,GM and my local dealer said change oil and come home .NowI'm not so sure this truck is a keeper ? What is your opinion .

If you search enough on here, you'll find a thread where a fellow drove from deep in Mexico or Central America with a bad injector back to CA, changing oil every couple of hundred miles. As I recall, he drove about 3000 miles like that and the truck still ran fine after injector replacement.

Get the injectors replaced and put a couple thousand miles on it. Then have an oil analysis done. Have them check for excessive amounts of bearing metals. That should answer your questions about engine damage.
