Like I've lost an octave. I've never had trouble with a horn on any vehicle before. What can go wrong? How can you lose an octave?
How do fix it? Is it a Do-it-yourself job??? How much $$$???
Thanks!

Your horn has more then one horn and each one has a different note. I think your truck should have 2 horns. One likely quit.

I think these trucks need better horns.
Maybe a loose connection?

The train horns should be an option.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/HiHi.gif

Horn bearings? http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif
or perhaps it's because you are tooting your own horn ... :)

I had the same thing happen on my 03 at 36,500 miles. The "low tone" horn gave up the ghost leaving the amenic "high tone" horn. Replaced the low tone and called it good - louder than before. The lof tone horn is on the passenger side, ahead of the RF wheel, and behind the wheel liner. Easy to replace with the liner removed.
The old horn was pretty rusty after just one MI winter. Pretty amazing & disappointing.

Johnny O,
Nice. Okay, who's gonna put 'em on. . . Think they'd fit under the bed?http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Clown.gif You'd probably have to get one of them International pick'em up trucks to put those in.

Hoot the way you have those installed....looks like your blowing it out of your arse!
One of my horns quit too, but before I had time to take a look, it started working again.

Hoot,
Is that one of them-their foreign trucks http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/HiHi.gif
Looks like you will keep the dirt and dust cleaned out from under your bed with just a flick of the lever.
Blew my K5’s up at the farm sitting on a dirt road over the weekend and kicked up enough dust to stir up a pretty good size cloud.
BACK TO THE SUBJECT:
Check your plugs into you horns before you buy anything, they plug in and I have seen them come “unplugged”. Edited by: HD-Nate

My bud has twice gotten water in his horns. Both times they were under warranty and the dealer replaced them. And no he's not driving under water, they just accumulated a lot of water during a heavy rain.
I was wondering if anybody else had run into this. His truck is an 02 GMC dmax.
