Here are my filters. The factory filter has 23786km (14780mi) and the pre oem Racor r60s has 17296km (10747mi). I installed the pre oem Racor at 6490km (4032mi). I haven't used any additives and have never seen any water in either filter bowl.

My oem shows no signs of rust etc.

Looks like you'll definitely want to change your pre-OEM Racor every 10k miles, maybe sooner, as it looks pretty well used up. You could probably go to 20k mile change intervals then on your OEM fuel filter, if you're comfortable with that. I'd check again at 15k just to be sure, though.
